RAISING-HEARTH [ Ind.Pat.No.149612 ] type up to 1700°C :
Platform mounted frame structure with elevated Furnace section with its opening at the bottom only, closable by vertically moving Hearth raising the job into the heating cavity by manual mechanical means.  Transformer & Control Panel housed inside the frame structure.  Stirrer hole through roof and Gas Inlet Pipe, optional.  Eliminates hazards of top open Pit type furnace.  Ideal for melting in crucible and hot working operations like Thermal Spalling Tests. Safer, surer and more convenient handling of job/charge. Reduced risk of furnace damage, cheaper and easier maintenance.  No convectional heat loss during loading/unloading, so low drop of temperature and cooler ambience.
